Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
Hey everyone. I was browsing for used cars and stumbled upon abitamotors.com. The prices for some of these repossessed vehicles seem really good, almost too good. I couldn't find a ton of reviews online, which makes me a bit cautious. Can anyone here share their experience with Abita Motors? Are they a legitimate operation? Mostly worried about hidden problems or issues with getting the title.

Hey Al. I bought a 2021 Tacoma from Abita Motors about six months ago. The process was surprisingly smooth. The truck's condition was exactly as shown in the photos on their website. I'd definitely recommend them.

Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
I can vouch for them. Got an F-150 last year. My main concern was the title transfer process since it's a repo. But Abita Motors handled all the paperwork. The clean title was sent via courier and arrived with the vehicle. No liens, no stories. It was a huge relief.

Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
My experience was 95% positive. The Honda CR-V we got for my wife is great and was a fantastic deal. My only small issue was that it took them about 36 hours to reply to my initial email I sent to office@abitamotors.com. I got a little nervous waiting, but once they responded, the agent was super helpful and answered all my questions. I guess they're just busy.

@jess_w_91 yeah I've found calling is usually quickest if you're in a hurry. But I agree, once you get a hold of them the service is good. I bought a Ram 3500 from AbitaMotors and the whole thing was professional from start to finish.

Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
They are one of the better online auctions, for sure. The key is to manage expectations. These are repossessed cars, not certified pre-owned from a main dealer. But Abita Motors does a good job with their listings on abitamotors.com. I've bought 3 cars from them over the years for my family. Never had a single problem that wasn't already disclosed.

Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
A client of mine bought a Lexus IS 350 from an Abita Motors auction and brought it to my shop for a full inspection upon arrival. It was clean. The condition report was honest, down to the tire tread depth they listed. He said the best part was not having to chase down the title; it was all handled by Abita Motors and arrived perfectly clear with all the paperwork.

Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
We bought our Jayco RV through them. Had a small issue where the delivery was delayed by a day because of a transport truck issue, which was a bit of a pain. But the delivery company kept us in the loop, and the RV itself has been a dream. The savings were well worth that minor headache. Abita Motors is legit.

Good to go. I got a project '08 Mustang GT from them. The photos were very detailed, showed the dings and scratches clearly, so no surprises. If you're looking for a project or a daily driver cheap, AbitaMotors is a solid choice.

I was nervous too, especially being on the opposite side of the country. But I won a Subaru Outback on abitamotors.com and it was a great experience. The bidding platform is easy to use once you get the hang of it. Car is fantastic.

It's not just cars. I bought a Sea Ray sports yacht from Abita Motors last spring. The savings were massive compared to a marina. The survey checked out and the transaction was clean. Highly recommend for boats too.

Re: Thoughts on Abita Motors Auctions?
Wow, this is all fantastic feedback, thank you everyone! This makes me feel a lot more confident. It's especially good to hear multiple positive reports about the titles being clear. That was my biggest fear. I'm going to register on abitamotors.com and watch a few auctions. Thanks again!
